About VoltAndPixel
Clear verdicts on the gear worth your money — and an honest account of what isn't.
What this site is
VoltAndPixel publishes spec-driven reviews, buying guides, and best-of roundups for consumer electronics — earbuds, phones, laptops, and smart-home gear. The focus is on decisions: helping you work out what to buy, what to skip, and which spec actually matters for your use case.
How we write
- Specs before slogans. Claims trace back to measurable numbers or clearly stated sources. Marketing language is not repeated as fact.
- Trade-offs are named. Every pick includes who should not buy it.
- Prices described as value, never as a countdown. Electronics pricing moves too fast for a site to chase it honestly.
- Corrections are visible. When we get something wrong, the article is updated and the update date changes.
How we're funded
We earn commissions from qualifying purchases made through links on the site, at no extra cost to you. That never buys a better score — full details are in our affiliate disclosure.
Who runs it
VoltAndPixel is a solo project — a backend developer who got tired of gadget sites where every product is "amazing." Writing and research are done with the help of AI tooling, and every article is reviewed and approved by a human before it goes live.
Contact
Corrections, disagreements, and product questions are all welcome. VoltAndPixel is run by one person, and every correction gets fixed — the article's updated date changes when it happens.
